World Science Festival

World Science Festival

The World Science Festival is an annual event held in New York City that promotes interest in science and technology. On its website, you can watch videos of lectures and discussions (in English) on a number of fascinating topics.

One lecture that we found particularly interesting was Echoes from the Beginning. In a lecture by cosmologist Lawrence Krauss and a subsequent panel discussion, the topics discussed include the big bang, cosmic background radiation, and dark matter/energy.

The lecture can be watched in part 1 and part 2; The panel discussion is in part 3 and part 4.

How did the universe begin? What came before that? Why is the universe expanding and will it continue to do so? These and many other fundamental questions about the universe are discussed. We found these videos fascinating and we hope you like them too. Enjoy!
